If I Should Fall | Giclee Print
If the wind turns / if I hit a squall / allow the ground / to find it’s brutal way to me
I am obsessed with people falling, people suspended in motion, the visual metaphor or falling (in love, from grace, on your sword).
Drawing on the ethereal, floating melody and the lyric ‘allow the ground to find it’s brutal way to me’, I wanted to make something that spoke of divinity with this piece. The fallen angel trope is tired but damn if it isn’t tired for a reason.
I used bright, almost neon oranges and contrasting blues in the larger-than-life clouds to hammer home this sense of unreality.
